Kevin Harris, one of Canada's best exports in the Freestyle market, Kevin consistently placed at the top of many contests during the 80's. He was known for his dazzling array of 360 variations and lightning-fast footwork. Kevin was sponsored by Powell Peralta. "I will never forget the day, walking through Del Mar skatepark parking lot, and a voice from a car yelling at me, "Hey you, Lou Wrigley! Lou Wrigley, over here." This was a nickname only one group of skaters knew. They were from Winnipeg, Canada, and told this nickname to the legendary Stacy Peralta... Stacy had developed a team called the "Bones Brigade." This was the top team in the world at the time. Just then a dream was about to come true: Stacy asked me to ride for the team. The year was 1982. "After this, the years to follow were incredible: Tours, demos, contests, traveling the world and my own Pro model. This was all taking place within the company of top skaters, such as Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero, Mike McGill, Tommy Guerrero, Lance Mountain, Rodney Mullen and Per Welinder. The company cared very much for the riders and it was a great company to ride for."
"George Powell and Stacy would later set my family up in the business side of skateboarding to distribute their product in Canada. This was another dream that came true and a natural step to go from Professional skater to the business end of it. It was an additional gesture I have so much gratitude for. Skateboarding has meant so much to me. It has been a large part of my life. It is all around our family all the time. I have been so lucky to have me so many skaters from all over and still keep in contact with a lot of them. I think skating is in your blood, once you start. It is always there in some form. I started skating in 1975 and still have a desire to skate now. I hopefully will pass that feeling to my kids who skate now and have been for some time. I know I will always be involved in skateboarding, as it is such as great part of my life and will be for years to come." - Kevin Harris Kevin and his wife Audrey are the owners of Ultimate Skateboards Distribution, in Canada and also manage Momentum!
